The Francesco Gaglione is Antonio Grivani's follow up to the "Il Santino." The wine has an intense fruity bouquet developed by the combination of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet. Francesco grapes are grown on sandy clay soil rich with limestone that creates wines with a fruity bouquet and a delicate persistence on the palate.
When tasting the Francesco the color is a deep red with aromas of cherries and blackberries. On the palate, the wine is full bodied with nice minerality, well-integrated tannins, and a long fruity finish. The Francesco is a very versatile wine and pairs well with a variety of foods.
